Finding the perfect Nail Polish: OPI edition

If you’re a “Pinterest-er” then you know about the nail polish craze. I swear, it’s like there was a spontaneous creativity combustion of nail polish ideas this year! There was crackle, and tribal stencils, and then cheetah, and then galaxy and ombre and splatter and tye dye and nail polish patterns were sweeping the girl world like herpes in a high school! So what do you do to keep up with all these awesome trends? You have to go out and buy some polish, of course… but which one? You know when you buy nail polish and it looks like a nice bold color in the bottle, the you put it on and its just a thin clear coat with a hint of color in it? And then you try four coats of polish that refuse to dry and your original nail color is still showing through… yeah, I’m sick and tired of that.

Fortunately due to pinterest, we all can see what polishes work and what don’t work. The two most popular nail polishes are now Essie and O.P.I. Both run around 7$ a bottle, and are salon quality polishes. You may not want to spend that much for a nail polish (trust me, i don’t) but when you think about it, every girl has to find that signature color. I’ve found mine! Professional quality polishes work. They dry quick, go on smooth and bold and chip less, and for me i think that’s worth the money to at least buy just one color you can count on.

Take a look at some of O.P.I’s shades and see what different Pinteresters did with them! You’ll find that color and smoothness is guaranteed with O.P.I, and i cant wait to get down to the store and buy a shade i absolutely am in love with. I hope this helps you get a glimpse of how O.P.I looks on peoples hands, so that maybe you’ll like a certain color and be inspired to go out and get one that makes you feel awesome, because a girl with crappy nail polish is a girl with crappy nails. Thats like… having killer awesome legs, and wearing flood jeans. Don’t sell yourself short and be a flood jeans girl. Give your nails some pampering they deserve. Oh and by the way, you can click on the photos below…and they’ll turn into a convenient flip through gallery! So they wont be so small and tedious!
